Lindsay's Graduation Open House!

On Saturday the 17th of May we had an open house to celebrate Lindsay graduating from high school this year. It was really fun and we were touched by the friends and family that called, came by and sent cards of support to congratulate her at this special time! Thank you for your kindness and excitment for her at this time! She is graduating a year early and is going to attend BYU in the fall. She will be rooming with her older sister Melissa in an apartment near BYU and she is so excited about being able to spend that time with her sister. They are such great friends!!! She will be graduating from Spanish Fork High School on May 28th. She has a job at APEX Alarm and will be working full time this summer. We are so proud of her and all that she has accomplished. She has really worked hard and is excited to be done for the summer! We will miss her terribly at home, but will just have to find ways to entice her back once in a while. : ) Lindsay is so full of life and loves learning and we know that she will do well and enjoy her college experience. Good luck Linds, we love you so very much and support you in all that you do!!!!

Lindsay's Prom Date

On April 26th it was Lindsay's senior prom! Her date was Alan Fish and they started the day out with a trip to mountains with their group for a little 4 wheeling. Some huge boulders had falling into the path during the winter which just made the adventure that much more fun. : ) Lindsay LOVES 4 wheeling so she had the time of her life! Later on they enjoyed dinner at the garden restaurant at temple square where we were able to take some pictures before hand. I guess I am just Mom but I think that they look awesome! It is SO nice to have Lindsay go with such a wonderful young man, and someone that really knows how to treat a girl right! What a way to end the year.
Dave and I decided to go to dinner on our way home that night as well and on the drive home it was so crazy..... this car pulls up along side of us on the freeway and we look over in the dark and these two people are waving at us and it is Lindsay and Alan! We could not believe it! I mean what is the likelihood that that would happen? That we would be on the freeway in the exact spot at the exact time, it was so funny. So we just waved back and all of us had a good laugh and went on our separate ways! : )

Special times with Linds!

On Lindsay's birthday she got to miss the whole day of school and just play! Her day started out with a breakfast date just with Dad. Then her and I went shopping, to lunch and a movie. We had a blast! This has become a tradition for the last 3 years now and we absolutely LOVE it!

Lindsay's Birthday!

Lindsay's birthday was April 10th and on the 12th we had a little family party for her! She is so fun to give presents to because she just get's SO excited! We sent her on a treasure hunt and she had to figure out all of the clues and at each place there was a gift with another clue. She was so smart and we couldn't stump her with ANY of them! (Melissa is grateful with the picture of her in it that she had some help with her hair by Lindsay's friend Alan's hand right before the picture snapped!) : ) Lindsay is such a sweetheart and we all love her so much! She just got a job at Apex alarms where she will be working full time this summer. Right now it is just part time until school is out but she is enjoying that so much and enjoying the chance to make some money of her own etc.

Easter and the "Intense" Egg Hunt

This Easter was really nice! We had a wonderful dinner together about 5:30 and then Dave insisted that all the guys do the dishes for the girls. At first we protested but then they were all so sweet and insistent that we accepted their kindness and just relaxed!!! : ) After dessert we had the Easter egg hunt! This year I thought it would be a more relaxed so of "calmer" hunt because Andy and Michelle and the grand kids were up in Idaho with Michelle's parents and I figured without the "little" ones there it would just be more that way. Well was I ever wrong!!!
This year was what I would call "ultimate" egg hunt! It was each man for their own, and it was all out "war". As you can see in the last picture. Dan came out the conquerer with one of the eggs that was hidden in the front room vent, but if you asked Melissa or Lindsay they would tell you Daniel cheated. It is simply NOT fair when a guy uses his strength to win! We caught Dave taking a break to unload his pockets because they were too full at one point. But the one thing that ALL would agree on was, that it was a blast!
We had so much fun just being together, and were glad that we were able to be with people that mean so much to us, and that we love and care about so much to enjoy this special day!
The true meaning of Easter is what is REALLY important and that is that Jesus Christ did rise on the 3rd day and we will ALL be able to live again after we pass from this Earth. How grateful I am for our Savior Jesus Christ, for his atonement and for the knowledge that he died for us and most importantly that HE LIVES! That he was resurrected as we will all be because of Him!

Coloring Eggs

Every year we have so much fun coloring eggs the day before Easter!
Through the years our numbers have diminished form 6 to now the three of us, but we still have just as much fun! This year there we 12 different colors in the package!!! That was amazing to me but there really were different shades etc. We even tried "mixing" some colors to make our own. That was interesting!!! I love the vibrant bold spring colors, they make me happy just to look at them!

Special Dinner!

On March 2nd Dave's sister Kristen and her husband Jason had our WHOLE family over for a wonderful spagetti dinner! It was amazing and the homemade sauce was delicious! We all had such a great time just talking and looking at family pictures together. Lily and Kaymi had a blast playing and running through the house laughing and chasing each other! Thanks so much Kristen and Jason, we truly had a wonderful time! It was just SO nice to see their cute house and all the fun things they had done with it.
